The Pineapple Thief San Diego Concert reviews
Jill Scott brought down the house!
The DC brought Thief to Pineapple. She's an undeniable legend. If the rumors are true, I now see why she and Maxwell were unable to co-exist on the same tour. She's not anyone's warm-up act. The woman possesses an entire library of crowd-pleasing songs and on Sunday night, she brought the full force of her personality to the stage. Giving her love and energy, the female-heavy crowd received it right back. Mint Condition and Anthony Hamilton were just okay- workman-like but nothing more. However, a word must be mentioned about Doug E. Fresh and Jazzy Jeff. They were incredible! They were the best part of the show besides The Pineapple Thief. Doug E. has effortless charm, entertaining the crowd by doing little more than typical hype-man duties. Jazzy Jeff kept spinning hits, one after another. When this duo hit the stage during the breaks, they truly transformed the show into a block party.
